Cookie & Storage Policy
Last updated: 12 May 2026
NZ Social Games uses browser localStorage — not traditional cookies — to store small amounts of preference data on your device. This data stays on your device only and is not transmitted to any server.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or marketing cookies of any kind on our own pages.
Embedded game content provided by third-party game developers may use their own cookies or storage as part of the game experience. This is outside our control. Please refer to those providers' privacy and cookie policies if you have concerns.
Storage Keys We Use
nzsg_age_confirmedRecords that the user has confirmed they are 18+ via the age gate. Used to avoid showing the age gate on every visit.
nzsg_cookie_consentRecords the user's storage consent choice: 'all' or 'essential'. Used to apply the correct storage policy.
nzsg_recent_gamesStores a list of recently played game slugs to show a personalised recent games section. Only set if consent is 'all'.
How to Delete Stored Data
You can delete all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome/Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Clearing site data removes your age confirmation, consent preference, and any recent game data. You will be asked to confirm your age again on your next visit.
